Nong's Szechuan Beef
Szechuan beef is a flavorful and spicy dish that pairs wonderfully with Nong's sauce. The result is a deliciously savory and tangy dish that packs a punch of heat and a burst of flavor.
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup Nong’s Khao Man Gai Sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 tsp pickled hot pepper
- ¼ cup Nong’s Khao Man Gai Sauce
- 2 lb short loin beef
- 1 tsp Sishuan pepper
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- cooked rice
- sesame seeds
- green onion
- roasted peanuts
Directions:
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add in the red and green bell pepper and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Mix in the garlic, ginger, and pickled hot pepper and cook for 2 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Add in Nong's sauce and cook another 5 minutes, stirring as needed.
- Remove the pan from the heat.
- Slice the short loin beef into thin strips and season with Sishuan pepper, brown sugar, cornstarch, rice vinegar, and soy sauce. Mix well.
- Heat more sesame oil in a fresh pan over medium heat. Add in the beef, stirring occasionally and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the beef is mostly done.
- Add in your pepper mixture and cook an additional 2 minutes.
