Smashburgers have become wildly popular as a delicious and quick way to make a burger. Forming the patty into a ball and smashing it down onto a hot griddle results is a burger that is crispy on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside.
While they're quite tasty on their own, mixing a bit of Nong's sauce into the meat results in an explosion of flavor that you simply must try.
Makes 4 burgers.
- 1 pound ground beef
- ¼ cup Nong’s Khao Man Gai Sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- brioche buns
- American cheese
- sweet onion
- Heat a cast iron griddle very hot. Massage together beef, sauce, and salt and pepper, divide into 8 evenly sized balls.
- Prepare burger garnish and toast buns.
- Two at a time, place and smash meat patty thin on the very hot griddle. Cook for 1 minute, Flip one patty and drape with cheese. Stack the other patty on top, raw side up. Flip the stack, cook to done, and serve.
